Internet Troubles

Posted in Uncategorized at 11:59 am by Kimberly Tyree

Just a quick note while I have some bandwidth to say that we are having internet difficulties.  I couldn’t upload the last blog entry until just today, and I may not be able to upload any more for a while.  Maybe not having internet will give me more time to work on my craft projects!

Blog Change

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:51 pm by Kimberly Tyree

As you may have noticed, I’ve switched to new blog software.  I’m using MovableType, through Yahoo, and it seems to be pretty flexible.  I’m still tweaking the format and colors and stuff, so it will probably still change some over the next few weeks.  I don’t have a link back to my main page yet either, but you can just press the backspace to go back for now.  It has a nice way to archive entries, and allows comments on specific blogs.  You can also have multiple blogs, so I may add a separate one at some point for my posts about writing.

I’m just about finished with the first motif of the crochet table runner.  I’m actually on the last round, but had to stop to take care of a crying child….  I’m making progress on the cross stitch angel too, but there are a lot of medium red stitches!  I didn’t take any pictures today, but I’ll get some more up soon.  My youngest child is starting to protest his morning naps, so I may have less time to work on projects before long, but we’ll see!

New Stuff

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:44 am by Kimberly Tyree

new purchaseJust a quick note to say that I received my order from Annie’s Attic. I had been eyeing this kit for a lacey table runner for the longest time, and finally decided to go ahead and get it. The kit, including directions and a ball of size 20 crochet thread, was only $6.95. Then, since the shipping cost would be the same even if I purchased another $7-8 of stuff, I was only being cost-effective to go ahead and order some more stuff, right? I went through all the clearance items, and found a bunch of patterns for less than a dollar each: some cross-stitch angels, a plastic-canvas booklet of little beanie baby “houses” to make for my girls, some plastic-canvas treat bags, and several crochet patterns for doilies and table decorations. So, all in all, I got a bunch of stuff for a very good price!
